Why do we pray for love, joy and peace when these are far from our hearts?

We battle with depression, loneliness and hate, our eyes see the poverty, the degradation of man living in an age when the worth of a man is less than the value of the clothes he wears. A time when sexual conduct, meant for our pleasure, is the cause ofincalculable pain.

And still we pray for peace on Earth.

Living lives ruled by passion we have no common ground. We turn to booze, we turn to drugs, we turn to psychics on the line seeking something to ease the pain. But peace ever eludes us leaving a black void in our soul. And no matter what we try to fill it with we're left wanting at the end of the line.
